STUDIO SEILERN ARCHITECTS
Studio Seilern Architects is a London based international practice established in 2006 by Christina Seilern with the intent of producing exceptional architecture that lasts, working across geographies, building sizes and typologies. Our diverse portfolio of built work spans the UK, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
We tackle a diversity of projects; it is our conscious decision to keep working on the smaller and larger scales both simultaneously and continuously: from new build to restoration works. We believe that architecture does not just rely on innovation and design, but on the ability to deliver a project from conception to completion. Our expertise lies within commercial, high-end residential, mixed-use, cultural, masterplanning and educational projects.
Following a practical, in-depth assessment of the client brief, our projects have an emphasis on investigatory and locally integrated approaches to the built environment. The studio thrives on projects that combine challenging sites and multiple stakeholders to create an integral relationship among architecture, the environment, and the cultural landscape.
BRISAC GONZALEZ ARCHITECTS
Brisac Gonzalez is a London based architecture practice established in 1999 by Cécile Brisac and Edgar Gonzalez. We create simple solutions from complex briefs that often have challenging site conditions and sophisticated planning matters.
We are concerned with all things architectural in the broadest sense, be it commercial and cultural buildings, as well as urban and interior design. We work by collaborating with our clients and challenging the conventional to create outstanding architecture, better places to live and work, and greater value in the built environment.
Our buildings have exceptional spatial qualities that are augmented by palettes of visually rich and robust materials. Our work evolves from rigorous working methods that include collaborations with specialist consultants, comprehensive research of a project’s site and its environmental condition, extensive use of three-dimensional studies, and most importantly responding to our clients’ needs.
RON ARAD
Ron Arad Architects forms part of the long-established multi-disciplinary design and art establishment, Ron Arad Studio, which enjoys the frequent overlap of interests, activities and knowledge that its component parts offer. The practice comprises a team of architects, under the directorship of Ron Arad, Caroline Thorman and Asa Bruno. The practice has in recent years completed several award-winning projects, such as Mediacite retail centre in Liege (Belgium), the Design Museum Holon in Israel, the refurbishment of the Watergate Hotel in Washington DC, as well as a number of public art commissions including the Curtain Call at the Roundhouse (London), the Vortext sculpture in Seoul, Spyre at the Royal Academy in London, and TOTOT in St Pancras Station, London. The practice is currently engaged in cultural, commercial and residential projects in Europe, the USA, and the Middle East, with the first phase of the large-scale ToHA urban development project in Tel Aviv due to complete later this year. The practice is known for its unconventional and avant-garde design and material research and applications, and has exhibited works extensively at the “No Discipline” exhibitions at the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the MoMA NY, and at the “Restless” exhibition in the Barbican Centre in London. The experimentation with and questioning of the limits of construction engineering, the celebration of the integrity and character of the materials employed in projects, and the often radical re-conception of form, are key to the activities of the practice.
