Alessandro Bianchi
(Rimini 1969), architect and Ph.D in architectural Drawing, teaches at the School of Planning, Architecture, Construction Engineering (AUIC) of Polytechnic of Milan since 2001, and he is Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU). Between practice and theory, his main focus is the relationship between drawing and project and the effects on the representation of the architecture and landscape. He is author of several papers and books including: “La città riconoscibile” (Raffaelli Editore, 1999), “Building by Signs/Costruire per Segni: disegno, memoria, progetto” (Editrice Librerie Dedalo, 2003-2010), “Architettura. Linee e controlinee” (Angelo Pontecorboli Editore, 2005), "Studi sul padiglione italiano nelle esposizioni universali" (Maggioli, 2013), "Il Centro Piacentiniano di Bergamo. Dal rilievo urbano alla città contemporanea" (Maggioli, 2018), “Landscape by Signs” (Mimesis International, 2019). With “La città riconoscibile” and “Architettura. Linee e controlinee” he wins the International Prize for published essay "Nuove lettere" 2003 and 2005, promoted by the Italian Institute of Culture of Naples. Editor in 2013 of the exhibition and conference "Palazzo Te allo Specchio", promoted by the International Center of Art and Culture of Palazzo Te at the Fruttiere. In 2015 he won the award for technological innovation of SIE-SAIE Bologna with the project "First Aid Clinic, smart building"
