Renovation of 40,000 SF of existing historic buildings and addition. The Addition to Hyde Addison Elementary School complex includes 30,000 SF of new space. This space will contain gymnasium multi-purpose space with a basketball court, stage along with music room, health suite, cafeteria, library, 4 classrooms and administrative support. The Addition also connects the two existing Historic Buildings and new space into one Coherent campus grouped around the new building as an Ensemble. The newly building applies a modern Terracotta Rain Screen Panel and Sun Screen Baguette Systems to the historic context setting. The Terracotta Fins systems will be installed vertically. This installation method challenges the common horizontal use of Terracotta Screens. The Addition blends perfectly into historic Georgetown fabric, while standing out as a distinguished contemporary building on its own and has received enthusiasticsupport from the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts.
Went through - Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and we are under Construction Administration now.
