Mennica Legacy Tower is a new social hub
By Redazione The Plan -

The grand Mennica Legacy Tower designed by Goettsch Partners invites rich views of Warsaw, Poland. Located in the central business district of the city, the two-building office complex includes a large, open plaza between the two structures, with a pedestrian path and a variety of landscaped features.

Mennica Legacy Tower, a lively landmark

Mennica Legacy Tower is an integral part of the exciting master plan for the city of Warsaw’s central business district. The Mennica Legacy Tower complex features two buildings — a main tower on the east side and a lower structure on the west side of the project’s site. The brief included a conference center, fitness center, ground-level retail, office space, four levels of underground parking and support services. Expansive lush green space surrounding the two structures integrates outdoor seating and winding walking paths that encourage social exchange and mingling.

“The project is much more than a signature new office complex.” It is “integrally connected to its central urban plaza, the development creates a unique ‘sense of place’ that enhances the public realm of Warsaw.” —  James Goettsch, FAIA, chairman and co-CEO at Goettsch Partners

The tower’s unique profile helps define it as a city landmark. Its stepped, curved façade further distinguishes it in the skyline from all angles.” —  Joachim Schuessler, design principal at Goettsch Partners

A kaleidoscopic façade

The powerful massing of the complex exudes energy from the inside out while the jagged kaleidoscopic façade gives a unique character to the project. The architects specified triple high-performance glazing and operable panels that supply fresh air. Additionally, the stepped juxtaposition of the buildings allows daylight to reach neighboring residences. Amenities such as a three-story translucent lobby and outdoor terraces with meticulous landscaping are frequently inhabited which add to the spontaneous fluidity of the structures and their site. Goettsch Partners’ Mennica Legacy Tower is full of life and is a welcoming community asset.
