The Action Development Business Center rises in the business heart of Moscow, offering a range of executive and operational offices for multiple companies following a recent revamp by the Russian UNK Project studio. Linea Light Group was involved in this restyling, bringing its expertise in designing and producing lighting solutions to brighten up the exterior of the building.

The brief given to the company was to overhaul the look of the building envelope to make it an immediately identifiable point in the Moscow skyline. The uniqueness of the façade owes much to the perforated shell that entirely envelops the glass façade, a clear reference to the progressive architecture of the 21^st century and the model of Soviet Constructivism. The volume itself is unusual with its pointed, triangular layout softened by rounded corners and a canopy-covered entrance supported by inclined columns all around the
ground floor that reflect the pattern of the grid that characterizes the rest of the building.

The white metal mesh structure clearly emphasizes the architectural volume during the day, as it reflects the sunlight, but at night, it is the lighting that adds a dramatic touch. To achieve this effect, QPRO lighting design studio selected Periskop Narrow LED outdoor projectors from Linea Light Group, which use narrow beam optics and anti-glare technology with a 3000k color temperature. To ensure correct installation, a longer customized cable was required for the 200 luminaires, placing them at the intersections of the metallic grid. A special accessory was installed on each projector, in the same color as the building, that acts almost like an eyelid, shutting during daylight hours to hide the Periskop Narrow lights in the façade.
